What we’ll do?
We start our trip moving in the fascinating Marine Protected Area “Isole Ciclopi”, between the Norman castle and the lava stacks around the Lachea Island. We will head offshore at a low cruise speed searching for a fin, a breath, a leap, and any useful signs on the surface of the water indicating the presence of animals.
Look at the first dolphins, we will approach the herd by following an international code of conduct that allows us to observe the natural behavior of animals minimizing our disturbance. Experts will describe you the observed species and their ecology as you can admire and record their astonishing bow-riding and air behaviors. When the pod will decide to leave, we will return to the harbor.
The program may vary depending on weather conditions.


Program:
16:45 – Registration and briefing. Venue: Marecamp, Lungomare Scardamiano 1, Aci Castello, Catania (in front of the Aci Castello Harbour).
17:00 – Departure from the Aci Castello Harbour by our inflatable boat. Searching for cetaceans and possible swim in the blue or in the Marine Protected Area “Isole Ciclopi”.
19:00 or so – Arrival at the Aci Castello Harbour and end of the experience.

Fee includes:

• sea excursion with a 7.20 mt inflatable boat

Notes:
We do excursions only with good weather-marine conditions.
We do not swim with dolphins but we limit to observe them in their natural environment without interaction for not disturbing them. Our boat allows us to approach animals very close, almost touching them.
In case of missed sighting the fee will not be refunded.
